1956 Lyman 15' Outboard/Runabout
Hull #41626. Michigan boat restored by owner in 1986. Interior and exterior stripped to bare wood, hull re clinched, below waterline areas treated with wood preservative, new plywood decking with Lyman stain, varnish, and paint. Period wiring installed, original hardware polished and reinstalled, new steering cables, new upholstered front seating, and period wood windshield. 1956 Johnson 30hp electric start, new paint and decals, and choice of several propellers. Engine in operating condition when last run. Accessories include twin 6 gallon fuel tanks, twin bilge pumps, forward scanning sonar with thru-hull transducer installed, anchor and rode, paddle, boat cover suitable for inside storage, Lyman serial number document, promotional Lyman literature, 1956 Johnson engine manual, and photo album of boat/engine restoration. 1996 Karavan galvanized trailer with guide bars all in very good condition. This boat was shown two seasons at the Hessel Boat Show, operated for three seasons, stored in heated garage until the Spring of 2013, and then transported to The Lawson Center, a Maritime Museum at Bemus Point N.Y., where it remains on display today.
