| The Mary Jeane II photo taken in May of 1948. This 40 footer was the sister ship to the Seagull - Bill Lyman's own boat. Both were carvel planked, an oddity at Lyman as they were noted for their lapstrake design and construction. Even the Cris Craft-like varnished 20 footer featured on another page was lapstrake when virtually everything in that genre was carvel planked.. |
